To get our results, we took the pictures that are in our Display of Results. We put the pictures in to ImageJ Software to measure the distance between the middle point to either of the outer points. They are the same distance away from the center, so it doesn't matter which outer point we measure to. Since we took three trials of each substance, we had to measure three pictures for each. We then got the average of the three trials to put into our proportion. The proportion related air's distance to the distance of the other substances. We then calculated the proportion and ended up with the refractive index of the substance. Below are the distances and refractive indexes of each substance in the form of a table and a graph.
